The annual festival is a party for the Kenai River but also a river protection celebration.  The festival draws a wide array of attendees with 8,000+ people attending from all over Southcentral Alaska and beyond.  This is our opportunity to celebrate our lifeblood and share ways to protect it.

With this spirit in mind, the festival offers the Alaskan Artisans Market as well as a variety of food vendors.  Learn more about sharing your tastes and talents at the festival below.

Festival Food Booth

Share your culinary delights!

Foodies from across the last frontier come together to celebrate the mission and vision of the Kenai River Festival by purveying their culinary delights.  Part of sharing the river protection celebration is being a good land steward.

We require food booths to provide service ware that is either recyclable or compostable as an educational opportunity about lightening our footprint.  Some of these compostable materials are collected and composted right in our community through Matti’s Farm.  Each year we work together to reduce the Festival’s footprint with more than 700 pounds of eco-friendly compostable materials replacing traditional and out dated plastics and styrofoam.

Cardboard recycling will be available for vendors at a specified location. Learn more about our recycling efforts here.

2016 Festival recycling and compostable guidelines can be downloaded here: Festival Materials Info 2016
