Fireside Chat: Beluga Monitoring

Fireside Chats are a weekly speaker series presented by the Kenai Watershed Forum at the Kenai River Brewing Company. Talks will focus around environmental/recreational topics with a new speaker each week.
This Week: Sonia Kumar is a graduate student at the University of Alaska Fairbanks, studying Cook Inlet beluga whale acoustics and noise in the Kenai and Kasilof Rivers. She will be sharing some of the preliminary findings from her 2021 field research.
